Every Sunday, before a sermon is preached or a worship song is sung, people are already forming impressions. The Usher Team helps create an atmosphere where guests feel welcomed, cared for, and distractions are minimized so people can focus on encountering God.
We are currently seeking a passionate leader to serve as our Usher Coordinator. This is an opportunity to lead people, develop future leaders, and help shape the worship experience for everyone who walks through our doors

Purpose
The Usher Coordinator provides leadership, vision, and oversight for the Usher Team by caring for volunteers, developing Coaches, recruiting new team members, and ensuring a welcoming and organized worship experience during services and church events.
Responsibilities
Lead and Develop Leaders
Care for People
Recruit and Grow the Team
- Recruit, train, and develop Usher Coaches.
- Meet regularly with Coaches for encouragement and support.
- Identify and develop future leaders within the ministry.
- Provide ongoing coaching and leadership development.
- Ensure usher positions are properly staffed.
- Maintain ministry standards and procedures.
- Coordinate ministry needs for services and special events.
- Partner with other Guest Experience ministries to create a seamless experience.
Care for People
- Pray for and encourage Coaches and volunteers.
- Foster healthy relationships throughout the ministry.
- Celebrate wins and recognize volunteer contributions.
- Assist in resolving ministry concerns and challenges.
Recruit and Grow the Team
- Lead recruitment initiatives.
- Help onboard new volunteers.
- Build a healthy leadership pipeline.
- Create opportunities for volunteers to grow into leadership roles.
What Success Looks Like
- Volunteers feel valued, known, and supported.
- Services are staffed and operate smoothly.
- Guests experience a welcoming environment.
- New coaches are consistently being developed.
- The ministry continues to grow in both effectiveness and culture.

Minimum Qualifications
✅ Be a committed follower of Jesus Christ
✅ Regularly attend The Tabernacle Church
✅ Support the vision, values, and leadership of The Tabernacle Church
✅ Demonstrate spiritual maturity and servant leadership
✅ Have completed the TAB Leadership Course or currently be enrolled and actively participating in the Leadership Course
✅ Be willing to continue growing through leadership development opportunities
✅ Regularly attend The Tabernacle Church
✅ Support the vision, values, and leadership of The Tabernacle Church
✅ Demonstrate spiritual maturity and servant leadership
✅ Have completed the TAB Leadership Course or currently be enrolled and actively participating in the Leadership Course
