One Church. Four Locations. All for Jesus.

We’re a family of believers pursuing the presence of God across St. Bernard, St. Tammany and Jefferson Parishes. No matter which campus you walk into, you’ll find passionate worship, bold preaching, and a community that feels like home.

About Us

At The Tabernacle Church, we exist to be a church of His Presence, His People, and His Purpose. Everything we do flows from a deep desire to encounter God, build authentic community, and live out the calling He has placed on every believer.
Our mission is simple and biblical:

Growing Oaks of Righteousness.

Rooted in Isaiah 61, we believe every person can grow strong in faith, flourish in their God‑given identity, and bear fruit that impacts generations.
To live out this mission, our culture is shaped by The 5 E’s — the values that guide how we love, lead, and disciple:

ENGAGE — We welcome people with intentionality and authenticity.

ENCOURAGE — We walk with people in every season, strengthening their faith and helping them keep moving forward.

EMPOWER — We equip believers to discover their identity and purpose.

EXPECT — We call people into maturity, leadership, and spiritual growth.

ENJOY — We cultivate joy, belonging, and life‑giving community.

Whether you’re exploring faith, returning to church, or looking for a place to grow, we’re here to walk with you. At The Tab, you’ll find a family committed to presence‑driven worship, relational discipleship, and a purpose-filled life in Jesus.
Welcome home.

Our Beliefs

The Authority of Scripture
We believe the Bible, both Old and New Testament, is Holy Spirit inspired and is the final authority concerning truth, the proper conduct of mankind, and is the sole final source of all the we believe. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
The Universal Church
We believe in the one universal church which is the Body of Christ. (1 Corinthians 12:12-13)
The Purpose of the Church
We believe the church's purpose as offering worship to God, fellowship, ministry and instruction to itself, and evangelism and service to the world. (Acts 2:42-47)
The Triune God
We believe in one God revealed in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19)
The Ordinances of the Church
We believe that the two ordinances of the church are water baptism by immersion and communion, which is the Lord's Supper. (Matthew 28:19 & 1 Corinthians 11:23-26)
Gender and Creation
We believe that God wonderfully and immutable creates each person as male and female, and the distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God. (Genesis 1:27)
The Deity of Jesus Christ
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicariius atoning death through his shed blood, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and his personal return in power and glory. (John 1:1-14)
The Gifts of the Holy Spirit
We believe that the Manifestation of the Holy Spirit recorded in 1st Corinthians 12:8-11 will operate in present-day churches which yield to the Lord. (1 Corinthians 12:8-11)
The Condition of Man & Healing
We believe that man in his natural state is a sinner lost, undone, without hope, and without God. We believe that the "stripes" placed upon Jesus Christ at his crucifixion provided physical healing to all who believe and receive. (Isaiah 53:5 & Romans 3:23)
Salvation Through Christ
We believe in the saving power of the blood of Jesus and His imputed righteousness. We believe the ministries of Ephesians 4 (Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, and Teachers) (Romans 10:9)
Resurrection of the Dead
We believe the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; those that are saved to the resurrection of life and those that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation. (John 5:28-29)
Terms of Salvation
We believe that the terms of salvation are repentance towards God from Sin, and a personal heart-felt faith in the Lord Jesus Christ which results in regeneration of the person. This salvation is entirely by the grace of our Lord and not by any works man may do. (Ephesians 2:8-9)
Biblical Marriage
We believe that the term "marriage" has only one meaning: the uniting of one biological man and one biological woman in a single, exclusive union, as delineated in Scripture. (Genesis 2:24)
Sexual Intimacy
TWe believe that God intends for sexual intimacy to occur only between a biological man and a biological woman who are married to each other. (Hebrews 13:4)
A Life Set Apart
We believe that Christians should seek as early disciples did, to practice the separated life from the world and unto Christ, and set standards of conduct which will exalt our Lord and His Church. (Romans 12:2)
The Sanctity of Human Life
We believe that human life is created by God in His image and this is sacred. Human life is of inestimable worth in all its dimensions, including pre-born babies, the aged, the physically or mentally challenged, and every other stage or condition from conception through natural death. We are therefore called to defend, protect, and value all human life. (Psalm 139:13-16)
